Welcome to PupJoy, home of the beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. You may have heard people refer to them in passing as King Charles, Cavalier King, King Charles Cavaliers or King Charles Spaniels. We refer to them mostly as our "Cavaliers".
My husband and I were first introduced to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in 2003 and they have been a part of our lives ever since. As our love for the breed grew, so did our interest. In 2007 we put our first dog in the show ring with a professional hander. I'm proud to say that he finished with 2 five point majors! You can see "Sir William Bentley" on our boys page.
As a responsible breeder it is very important to us to breed for health & temperament, and always with the intent to improve upon the breed. Our Cavaliers are tested annually by board certified cardiologist and ophthalmologist before any breeding. Any puppies that are not held back as show prospects are sold as pets. Our puppies are handled everyday and well socialized before going to their new homes.
All our dogs and puppies are registered with the American Kennel Club.
